Revisiting China’s new-democratic revolution (Part 1)

You are here: Home / Resources / Images / Revisiting China’s new-democratic revolution (Part 1)
The 1911 Revolution, also known as the Xinhai Revolution, begins with the Wuchang Uprising on October 10, 1911, shown here in sculpture. It led to the fall of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and the establishment of the Republic of China (1912-1949) that eventually turned into a Guomindang dictatorship.[Photo/Exhibition Road to Rejuvenation at the National Museum of China]
